THE NATIONAL PARK MISSION OF THE MALAYSIAN SQUIRREL
After travelling miles across Asia and Europe on their first mission which was to save the red squirrels in Britain, Shaari, Safrina and their new friends are now back in Malaysia. But before long, they were given a second mission. What started as a mission to save the pangolins in Taman Negara soon turned into a much bigger mission. What can two squirrels and two sunbirds do? ------------------- Publisher's review: This second book of Shaari the Malaysian Squirrel takes readers into Taman Negara. The animals there are in danger from poachers and they certainly don't want to become extinct like the rhinocerous. They agreed to cooperate with Shaari and his friends who organised them into groups. The spotters are birds that can spot poachers; the trackers are animals who live in the trees and who track the poachers; and finally the chasers are animals on the ground who chased the poachers all the way out of the park. And with a Hantu Belian thrown in, the poachers are unlikely to be back! Author August Moon comes from a business consultancy background which shows in this story of how the animals set up systems and worked together to save themselves. An added bonus are the illustrations by Vay that brings to life the characters and places in this book. |
Ben Saves the Day is a simple yet multi-layer story that can be read and enjoyed by the young as well as adults . The illustrations by Danial are stunning and expressive, showing the fear as well as happiness of the young fishes.
