She also devoted a few years researching this subject for a Master's degree in the University of Malaya before embarking on a career in public relations. Her lifelong interest in culture, folklore and children's literature inspired her to research and retell the stories in Timeless Tales Of Malaysia, which are based on folktales and legends from the Malay archipelago. She now lives in Kuala Lumpur.
Tutu's latest picture book, Phoenix Song, will be published by Lantana Publishing, UK. Oyez!Books is translating that book into Bahasa Malaysia for our local children to enjoy. It will be called Lagu Burung Jentayu. Or does anyone have a better translation? Let us know! Or are you a translator? Send us your CV and translation samples at contact@oyezbookstore.com

The Phoenix in the book is the Chinese Phoenix, Fenghuang, and is also referred to as Cendrawasih in the English version of the book... Facebook friends from India think that Jentayu is Jatayu - a very strong vulture-like bird from Indian myths.
