Pustaka Bookaroo Festival of Children's Literature 2017

Pustaka Bookaroo Festival of Children’s Literature is happening soon! Bookaroo Literature Festival was started in India in 2008 with a mission of "bringing books, children, writers, and everyone who loves books together to celebrate the joy of reading". The festival has grown from strength to strength, winning the International Excellence Awards 2017 at the recent London Book Fair. The Malaysia edition of this excellent festival is happening from 22-23 April at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak in Kuching.

The weekend will be packed with storytelling, crafts, doodling and workshops for children from 4 up to 12 years of age, featuring a lineup of international and local authors, illustrators, storytellers and more. A few Oyez!Books award-winning authors and illustrators will also be participating at the festival! They are :

• Emila Yusof - popular author, illustrator and blogger who has produced over 40 books will be conducting doodling and craft sessions making toys and paper hearts.

• Evi Shelvia - prolific and talented author and illustrator will also be making an appearance conducting monster doodling and craft sessions.

• Chooi Ling Keiong - accomplished artist and illustrator will be running some imaginative doodling and craft sessions.
